    You probably will need a good lawyer first as its going to be an uphill battle being single and wanting to adopt. Start with a good lawyer and hopefully he will tell you the legal aspects of it.

    Then go for next procedure and process.

    Hire an Lawyer - They can give real scenario based on your case better than IL friends.
