Hello Singapore ILites , I am active member on Indusladies and found this section of forum helpful , so thought of putting my question here in hope to get some valuable advise. I live in Canada and I am canadian citizen. I am planning to visit Singapore and Malyasia this summer along with my family. We are 5 people and looking into tour package but seem packages are expensie , so in terms of accommodation I am thinking for short term rental of 1 or 2 bedroom for week . Can you ladies please enlighten me where can i find short term rentals at reasonable price and how do i plan trip by myself? What are the options to see Malyasia from Singapore ? Thanks Mohini
Hi Mohini, Happy Vocation Sharing rooms will be available and its cheaper than Hotels. According to the places you must visit in singapore --> 1.Sentosa Island - Universal studios , Laser show , Underwater world r the must . It will take a full day to fully enjoy the whole island. 2. Flyer - The view from the flyer will be nice. 3.Merlion park - Singapore's symbol . 4.Marina bay sands Top Floor - Its really a nice and diff view with swimming pool on top of it.You can see Casino too in the same building. 5 . Bird Park - If you are bird lover , you will love it. It will take full day to finish all the parts and some shows willl be there for particular timings , it will be tooooo gud to see those bird shows. 6.Zoo - Night safari is the famous attractive in singapore zoo but if u wanna see all the animals then u can prefer go to Day timings . 7.Little india - You will find a lot of indian restraunts and Mustafa is the 24 hr open Shopping place. You will get everything here. If you wish u can go to Perumal temple near mustafa. 8.Orchard road - You wanna shopping in Malls , this will be the place. but i wont say this shud be in Must-to-See List.
Hi Mohini, Renting HDBs in SG with foreign visa (tourist) is illegal dear. You can check out this link for other less expensive options. SG is a relatively small country and the public transportation and cab services are excellent. You can make a list of things/places you would like to see in SG, get EZ link cards(for the public transports) once you are here and you can start your tour here... its that simple. You can get a combo pack for zoo, bird park, night safari, not sure if they include science center also. You can go for the duck/hippo tour to have a look around the city. Chinatown and Little india will also be some places of interest. Hope this helps Have a great trip
As well in Malaysia, Singapore to Malaysia , You can travel by budget flights because sometimes it will cost just 30SGD - 50SGD To KL from SG.You can take On road travel by bus , but i think it will cost the same 30$ to KL. In KL, 1 . Twin Towers - The Viewing point will be opened from 10 am - 7 pm but u need to book the tickets on directly no online options.So Ticket counter will be opened from 10 am . oly 1000 tkts r allowed ,within an hour it might be finished. If u want to see the KL view from a tower , u can go to Menora tower thats older than twin tower. Its also the highest one. 2.Batu caves - just 20 kms from KL. So u can go by taxi. 3.Little india - Chinat town - You can do shopping in both places and both r near by.But 2- 3 kms if u wont prefre to walk from china town to little india , go to little india directly. 4.Putrajaya - Govt Building. But its not Must One to be visited. Then , In Malaysia, Langkawi , Cameron highland (Hill station), Genting island (Theme park) ,etc . There r so many places to visit.
