    Dear all,

    Metro priya made one dish called mamoos(a chilled one, like ice cream, presented in cups, i don't know the correct name, Chef Bhatt appreciated this and all the judges ate fully). If any body come over this, pl tell me how to make.

    Are you referring to what she made with marshmellows? Im also looking for that recipe but cant seem to find it anywhere...

    Hi all,

    I found the episode.. it's Dec 30th one. It's on youtube. This is what I got of the recipe...

    Melt chocolate (may be with a little butter), add a few marshmallows and stir until the marshmallows melt into the chocolate. add some cream and set it in the fridge in dessert cups. Marshmallows are nothing but sugar, flavour and gelatin. You can use gelatin directly based on the instructions on the package. Vegetarians, beware, gelatin is from pork. I found vegetarian gelatin in the UK.. I'm not sure about US or India.

    Hi buddies
    Not a regular viewer of that programme.
    if its chocolate mousse,then heres my recipe,which i make once in a week:)

    1.Sprinkle 2tsp of gelatin with lil water and keep aside.

    2.Cut 125 gms of cooking chocolate into small pieces..or grate them(I used medium sweet)

    2.Mix 1/2 cup sugar+2 tbsp of custard powder in one cup of water...Bring to boil(on low flame)..stir constantly till you get a smooth sauce like consistency.

    3. Add chcolate to the hot custard mixture.Stir well.

    4.Heat the gelatin(for few seconds til it melts) and add that too to the custard + chocolate mixture.Stir well.keep aside.

    5.Now beat 200 gm of fresh cream till fluffy and add to the cooled chocolate mixture.

    6.Pour into the containers( glasses/bowls) which you prefer..refrigerat them for 2-3 hs.

    7.Serve with pipped cream,cherry and chocolate scrapes.

    HEAVENLY dessert!!!!!!!

    Yesterday tried with muskmelon puree instead of chocolate....WOW!!!!!:)


    NOTE:
    If you are making with seasonal fruits avoid custard powder.
    Make the puree of the fruits,add sugar accordingly.if want add essence
    add dissolved gelatin
    Fold in Fresh cream....

    Thats all.
    You will become a Desert QUEEN....:thumbsup

    Yea..this is another variation of making mousse.
    Here in India also we are getting Vegetarian gelatin packs.
