    My co-sister is going to chennai tomarrow and she asked me where will she get winter wear like shawls in chennai and also best handloom shop in chennai.Please show some light.So that i can help her by giving address.

    Hi honeyangel,

    I am not sure if Chennai is the right place for shawls since its hot round the year except for a month or two.Why dont you try in Madarshah.Other than this I dont have any idea.By handloom do you mean for sarees?`You can try Co-optex,Egmore for handloom cotton sarees.

    Also I just couldnt help but laugh when you said "Six members viewed but no reply",because in one of my threads there are 1000 views still no single reply for me :)

    I think you will get good Pashmina shawls in the various Kashmiri stalls in Spencers mall. They look beautiful.

    pure handloom sarees in rangachari or sundari silks, or prashanthi should be having right now being summer..

    regarding shawls if you mean pashmina then kashmiri boutiques in spencer plaza.. also check the shop opposite flower bazar police station, the one where everything in wool is stocked.

    I'm not sure about handloom but I have bought some lovely cotton sarees from Nalli's for my Mom in TNagar. They cost around 1000-2000.
