    @SGBV,
    Hugs to you dear. I know how you have been taking care of your mom. I read your threads. You are inspiration.
    I know even though our moms get cranky, nag, appreciate our siblings/support them sometimes which makes us get very angry and criticize our hubbies or in-laws....
    at the end their love is the purest one...it really shakes us...

    It does happens to me too. Gone are days when we used to talk for hours all good things laugh be happy. But there comes a point in life and things get depressed. after my dad passed away she became depressed like this.
    so i dont mind, just wait for the time she talks with happy face. and this was one of them.

    so keep trying to talk to your mom. Just 5 -10 mins a day doesnt hurt.

    Op such a lovely post. Sometime back I had an argument with mom over the phone over something trivial. It took a bad shape for a while. I put the phone down but couldn't stop crying. I was trying to make mom understand something but she Wasn't getting my point and instead started saying every one only lectures me all the time and that's how that call ended. After that heated call I was thinking I will call back after putting myself together meanwhile mom called and she was sobbing on the other side and both of us were in tears we didn't need any words to clear the air. I don't share such bond with anyone in my life. It's just not possible to take out our parents from us because we are their extension.

    Thank you Joyolife and yes same happened to me. After a fight with husband or sibling or friends, even if i go back they show me tantrums. My parents are only one who will cry and say sorry to me for fighting even though if it was me shouting on them.
