Hi friends A very happy ugadi Nandana nama samvasthara subhakankshalu Our Lunch today was Pulihora (andhra style) payasam mango dal brinjal curry Today i present you Andhra Special Pulihora(tamarind rice) For this we need: tamarind paste :1 cup two cups rice cooked with four cups rice. black gram:4tspn mustard seeds:2 tspn red chilly: 8 chopped green chillies: 5 curry leaves oil to fry salt to taste 2 tspn turmeric bengal gram: 5 tspn peanuts : 1/2 cup method: In a pan heat oil , add mustard seeds, black gram, bengalgram, and peanuts, when peanuts get fried , add green chillies, curry leaves, red chillies, once chillies are fried , add tamarind paste , turmeric powder and switch off the stove once this paste gets cooled add cooked rice and mix well, add salt if required. Ugadi Special Pulihora is ready.... Tastes best with curd..
