What? Asked janani…

Last year, while cleaning joy’s room, I found a diary. I opened that diary, I saw your name. Since it’s a girl’s diary, that too your diary so I thought, it will be worth reading. So I read it. I read the whole diary, but didn’t find anything fishy about you and joy, until I saw those middle pages. As I saw few pages in the middle of the diary been tied, I thought, it would be something personal.

I’m extremely sorry to read your personal diary. But the excitement made me to do so. As I untied the middle page, initially I was shocked to see joy’s pic. Then as I read the whole part, I realized your love for joy. But I thought you got married to shridhar. But when you came to my home and said shridhar is your friend and that marriages are fixed by god then I realized that you might be waiting for my son.

I don’t have any problem with your marriage. I’m very happy to have you as my daughter-in-law…oops my daughter. But joy need to convince his dad. I don’t know what he had planned for joy and his marriage.

As they were talking, janani saw larshini talking with some friends with her hand on joy’s shoulder. Janani couldn’t resist her envy.

Manju looked at janani and smiled and said…hmm, so feeling jealous huh…

Nothing like that, please excuse me, saying this she called joy…as soon as joy saw janani’s number flashed in his mobile. He quickly removed her hands from his shoulder and attended the call. Hey dear, where are you?

You don’t even bother about where I’m? and what I’m doing? Busy flirting Huh…asked janani with anger….

She is my friend yaar, just friend…vaise you look very beautiful when you get angry…said joy looking at janani…

She smiled…ok, now come here, I want to talk with you…said janani…

I think now we are doing the same…said joy…

Ha ha ha…very funny…will you please come, need to talk something very important…said janani…

Joy came. Janani said…your mom knows about our love…

What? Asked joy…

She read my diary…said janani…

Oh, is it? Then…asked joy…

Now you need to convince your dad that’s it…said janani…

Quite tough …said joy…

Prayer started and after few minutes, The Father called both bride and groom. Joy’s family stood there, joy’s mom called janani to join them. Joy gave a tight hug to his mom and said…thanks a lot …love you mom ….joy’s mom smiled.

Janani stood next to joy. Joy’s dad saw her standing close to joy. He gave a dirty look at them. Then after marriage, they moved to “Alvares House Banquet Hall” for reception. There in a blessing speech, joy’s dad revealed the marriage planning between joy and larshini. Hearing this, tears started flooding from janani’s eyes.

Janani left that place without joy’s knowledge. Joy tried calling her but it was not reachable. Then after the reception, as they went to their home, joy started the topic about janani to his dad. His dad, without allowing him to talk further ordered him that his marriage is fixed with larshini and that’s his final decision. Joy’s mom tried to convince him but she knows him very well. He can never change his decision. Joy tried a lot but his dad was very stubborn.

Then joy called larshini and told about his love. Larshini was quite upset as she liked joy a lot. But joy convinced her.

Joy informed his dad’s decision to janani the next day. Janani was upset hearing his dad’s decision and she disconnected the call. Joy was highly worried.

It’s been two months, but janani & joy were not talking with each other. Joy tried to call her but she ignored his call. One day, while returning from a meeting joy’s dad met with an accident. He was admitted in the MGM hospital @ Belapur. Doctors were treating him but joy and his mom were not satisfied with their treatment. Then finally after 2 weeks of treatment, doctor told them that he got severe injury at his upper and lower extremities and also he got multi-fragmented fracture, so the chances of him walking again steadily will be next to impossible.

They taught of changing the hospital. Then janani came to visit him in the hospital. She saw joy’s dad lying on the bed. Janani went through the reports and then suggested them to go to kannur. Janani knew an ayurvedic Vaidiyar (doctor) named Dr. Thyagaraja swamigal who is a very renowned medical practitioner in kannur. He cures all his patients with ayurvedic medicines. So janani requested joy’s mom to take him to kannur.

Hearing this, joy’s dad told her in anger, how can you suggest an ayurvedic doctor for me. You want me to be in the bed for rest of the life too. I don’t believe in ayurvedic medicine. I know many specialists in Mumbai, we don’t need your suggestion, and will you please get out….

Janani left the place. Then joy and his mom visited 2-3 hospitals. They all said the same. Then joy called janani and asked for the details of Dr. Thyagaraja. Swamigal.

Janani gave the details and decided to accompany them to kannur. They reached the swamigal’s home. It was a very old model house with a big garden in the yard and lots of different types of trees and plants at the backyard.

Swamigal was in dyanam, janani went and sat next to him. After a while, swamigal looked at janani. Janani narrated the problem to him. He called joy’s dad for diagnosis. He diagnosed him thoroughly and told him that his injuries will be cured but it will talk 2 years for him to walk as before. Joy’s mom and joy both were surprised to hear this.

Joy asked swamigal, swamiji how’s that possible? All experienced doctors and specialists said it’s impossible for my dad to walk. Then how can you cure my dad?

Swamigal with a divine smile said “Ayurveda” is an old Indian way of treating disease. I have been practicing this for last 55 years. My family has been practicing medicine since long, mine is the 15th generation. Ayurveda has treatment for almost all the disease that the people suffer in present age. We have treatment for even cancer. I have saved many lives. We treat our patient using a very ancient method in a spiritual way. My treatment will surely bring a new hope and lots of relaxation to my patient.

Janani returned to Mumbai within a month but joy updated her about his dad’s health everyday.

Within a year, joy’s dad could feel the improvement. He was able to walk slowly with the help of a support. He loved the serene room, natural atmosphere, & the spiritual surrounding etc. The greenery and the pure nature set his mind free and relaxing.

Now 2 years finished and Joy’s dad was able to walk without a support. Joy’s dad asked the swamigal about the treatment fees. Swamigal told him to pay Rs. 50, 000.

What only 50,000? You should charge more. Your treatment was so relaxing. You boost my energy and brought a new hope with your slokas. I really admire you. How can you charge so less? Then you won’t be able to gain any profits, said joy’s dad.

Swamigal gave a soft smile and replied, money is just a material. Here I save a life. I get true happiness in that, not in gaining money. The 50,000 rupees that I’m charging you is not the fee. It’s actually the cost of medicines that I gave you. All those herbs that we use in the medicines are tough to extract and the people who are serving you for all these days need to be paid that was the reason I charged you 50,000. I’m god’s child. I was been send here by god to treat the needy and diseased people. Money is just a paper for me. I can say “a costly paper” rather.

That’s great, swamiji. I never knew that great people like you still exist in this selfish world. I had a great time over here. You changed my thoughts. I worked a lot and earned a lot. I live a very luxurious life but nothing can compare to the life that I had in this 2 years period. You are really very great. Saying this, he signed a cheque of
Rs. 5, 00, 000 and gave it to swamiji.

Swamiji refused it. But joy’s dad requested him to use this money for poor and needy people or for the manufacturing of any medicines. For this, swamiji gave him some address and told him, if you really want to help someone, go to this address and give the money to them. At present they are the one who are in need of money. I have my own land. I get money from there and so I can use that money for my service. Joy’s dad then went to that address which swamiji gave him. It was an ashram. He donated that money in that ashram and then went to Mumbai.

After reaching Mumbai, joy’s dad invited janani to their home. As soon as janani reached their home, joy’s dad thanked janani for bringing his life back to normalcy. Janani smiled and said it’s my duty uncle; you are also like my dad.

Then after the lunch, joy’s dad asked janani about their marriage planning. Janani smiled and told him that she needs to talk to her parents. Then, within a month they got married. First they married in a Christian way i.e. by exchanging rings followed by Hindu way that is by Thirumangalya Dharanam. Then a grant reception was held at “Alvares House Banquet Hall”.

After marriage, janani and joy, initially stayed at UK for 2years, then joy got promoted and was shifted to other branch which was in California, US. So now joy and janani were well-settled in US.

They had a wonderful married life. Janani was also working in a hospital. After a long wait of 5 years, now janani got conceived. The doctor suggested her to take complete rest as her health was bit down, so joy told janani to quit her job and hence janani quitted her job. Janani’s mom and dad came to US to take care of her. As it was a long wait, janani’s mom couldn’t control her happiness so she came to US as soon as she heard this good news from janani.

It was janani’s 5 month. Janani along with her mom went to the clinic for general check-up. As she was waiting in the consulting room for her turn, she saw shridhar and Lakshaya talking with the receptionist.

Janani slowly moved towards them and said, hey lakshaya, how are you doing? Feeling great to see you guys back after a long long time.

Shridhar without much excitement said good, nice to see you.

So any good news? Asked janani to lakshaya.

No dear, not yet, waiting for the one, since long, said lakshaya.

Don’t worry, even janani waited for 5 years, and after 5 long years, now she is conceived, said janani’s mom.

Oh really, that’s great, said lakshaya with smile. But janani could see some sadness in their face. Hey want happen? Is everything alright? Asked janani.

Nurse called janani for check-up. So janani asked lakshaya to complete her check-up and told them that she will wait for them at the reception room, saying this she went to meet the doctor for her check-up and shridhar and lakshaya went for their check-up. Janani finished her check-up and they were waiting for shridhar and lakshaya at the reception room.

They all went a restaurant and continued their conversation and shridhar started lakshaya’s suffering that she met with an accident during her first pregnancy. Due to that accident, she had miscarriage. Then a year later, suddenly she got severe stomachache and was admitted in same clinic. The doctor diagnosed her and said she got a tumor in her uterus so she underwent all the therapies to remove that tumor. Then after 3year, again she got a severe pain and this time the tumor was bigger and doctor suggested her to remove her uterus. She was completely broken. She was highly depressed. My parents came to take care of her. Even her parents came. Now she is doing well. Just came for a general check-up. Said shridhar with pain….

Acchacho, Bhagawan enn entha kulanthella eppadi sodhikirahe… (Oh god, why are you giving so much pain to these children)
Ellam nanmai ke… (All is well) bhagawan ungalla kai vedha mattan (god won’t leave you)…said janani’mom with tears. That’s really very sad and painful. That’s ok, gone are the bitter moments, begin a better moment, think about adopting a child…A child can remove all those better moments…suggested janani…

Yeah, but doctor is suggesting us to arrange a surrogate mother for our child. She said, with the help of IVF technique it’s possible to get a child. She said, she will remove an egg her ovum and will fuse it with my sperm artificially in a lab and then will place it inside the uterus of a surrogate mother. In this way, we can have a baby. So we are looking for a surrogate mother…as shridhar finished his conversation a word came from behind…

EXCUSE ME…

Shridhar turned back and was completely shocked…
