Dear ILites,
I have started this new thread in continuation from the old thread TTC progress and two weeks wait... for all those friends who are trying to conceive. We will discuss our progress until now, the steps we have taken to conceive, and let us share our feelings during the two weeks wait period after ovulation. I personally feel this will be very useful to everyone.

To begin with, here is my story... Hope my TTC journey ends with good pregnancy journey!
We started trying from the day we got married. I was working.. Since nothing good happened after 8 months of married life, MIL fixed up an appointment with their family gynec, without much exposure to TTC pain, gone to her & she wrote HSG along with few blood tests & scan... It was the very worst experience to have a HSG while i step inside the doc's place for the first time in life!
HSG report came back with block in one side, blood test revealed elevated prolactin count & scan told i have PCOS! It was heart breaking, i cried all the day when i had hsg. Still feel the pain(still eyes are ready to cry while remembering them). I am sensitive, hated to see a man in HSG room! Over all a very bad start... This is when i stepped inside IL! IL & other people's story told i am far better, started to gain energy....
Took up few medicated cycle with clomid, 4-5 cycles i had, everything failed. Finally talks came for unblocking the tube. That gynec asked to under go a operation & we were not ready to take up a operation before pregnancy! DH is very keen in it!

Then after few months of mental preparation, i gone to another hospital where i undergone diagnostic lap, another mistake. It told the same things as the first HSG. Resigned my job to support IUIs as his side ppl were worried on the journey(more than 4 hrs per day) i took. Took up 6 IUIs, everything failed, i got my periods on dot, 15th day post IUI! Endo thickness is not good, had to ovulate early because of faster response to those medicines & injections! DHs sperm count turned to less than 5M while doing IUI. Initially they were not bad, after these treatments, its too bad. Stress at work & home ate away his peace! Couldn't help it!

Finally after some break, we gone to IVF in another hospital. Took up another HSG which showed exactly opposite reports compared to the last one! Initially the response to the medicines was poor, later its fine.... First failed IVF, frozen few embryos. MIL passed away in the half way of IVF! Attempted another IVF with those frozen embryos after 3 months, had more injections this time, another failure. I gave up! I got allergy because of it, still finding ways to clear it(need to take tablet regularly)! Periods gone irregular first time after marriage... Its the worst part of IVF outcome! Before marriage, periods are always irregular, after marriage, they are so nice, saved me from some bad situations! Now, bad!

Now i don't know whether there is any meaning to natural attempts as couldn't trust my tube blocks! Unstable prolactin levels & irregular periods.... Looking forward to next start.... No plans for it now!

Your story sounds similar to me. I have gpne through 3 hsg test till date 2 of them showing no blockage at all n performed by a man. I also hate to be operated by male dr but its really not in our hsnds. I even had a laparoscopy to remove septum. Right now in tww after my 7 th iui. I m also ib category of lean thin pcod. I can totally understand yr situation dear. I will definitely pray to god to give you good news asap. Tc dear. N dnt loose hope. We all are with you. Best luk

Alert: It's a bit long post.

I thought of sharing my ttc period and the situation I'm facing right now to get some advice if anyone has experienced the same.

A little background of my story, I got married in 2015 and started to try for a baby since Sep 2016. I always had regular periods and cycle length is 28-30 days. Soon we started ttc I have some irregular periods like the lenght started varying in range of 27 to 35 days. I'm living in US and went for a normal check up before my TTC and everything was normal and went to the OBGyn after 7 months and she told me to wait for at least an Year to start the HSG and other tests. We tried for another month and without success got a little frustrated so thought of giving a break from the ovulation predictor kits and noticing every single change or symptoms.

So coming to the situation, I'm actually 14 days late for my periods and we took HPT after a week of missed periods and it came out negative. I was not convinced and went for another brand and still it was negative. I was a bit freaked out and went for a blood pregnancy test and it came out Negative as well. Doctor said that its normal to skip a periods sometimes and doesn't wish to prescribe any drugs to start my period as it would not be good during TTC period.

I don't have any symptoms whatsoever and recently heard from my friend that in rare cases it's possible to have false negative. I am not sure how to proceed on this and waiting patiently to know the result is very frustrating. I want to know if anyone ever faced similar kind of situation? If so, please provide your inputs that would be really helpful.

P.S : I have never missed a period before. This is the first time I have had this delay.

My friend was in similar situation as yours. Missed periods but her hpt came negative till 40+ days. Even with blood test ,doctor told pregnancy values are low and prescribed period inducing pills right away. But she waited and the doctor dint even want to take scan to confirm otherwise. Finally her hpt was positive around 60th day. She consulted other doctor and now she has a healthy 4 yr old boy.. it's still weird why her hpt was negative all the while.. Hang on and may be scan can be done in addition to blood tests. Loads of babydust to you.

From these symptoms it seems really confusing so just hang on there and get a blood test done. Results will be pretty clear. We all pray for you. Good luk

Thanks for your kind suggestion.. Yes, ofcourse I'm going for a beta HCG blood test soon... All hopes for a high HCG values for a viable pregnancy..

Sorry people....
My beta-HCG came as negative value on day 42... Level is only 1.0 ug/mL..
Totally devastated...
Still I'm having few symptoms.. like feeling hungry soon , light headedness..
No periods so far..

So I'm keeping my fingers crossed and going to patiently wait till day 60 to take another beta HCG..
