Trouble Waking Up Early!

    Hey ladies,

    Due to our lifestyle, 10 am to 9 pm job, the entire body clock is disturbed. After reaching home at night, discussing our day with my husband and having dinner it is almost 11:30-12 till we hit the bed. This eventually results in waking up late, cooking, getting ready and rushing to the office....and the cycle continues. There is no scope for exercise and mine is a proper desk job:sconf:

    If you don't have time to exercise, then you might consider a standing desk. That will at least mitigate somewhat the deleterious effects of prolonged sitting at a desk job.

    It is also a good suggestion. The point is as long as you keep shifting your body weight, there will not be any kind of ache, cramp etc., google search gives you numerous methods to manage the work and simple exercise for various age group. As the things are kept over oven for cooking, you can exercise your lower parts, arm movements etc. Check it out. Even in sedentary work, there are suitable exercises suggested and published in Readers' Digest some years ago. Exercise and nourishment can keep us fit. It is not necessary that exercise regime to be followed only in early mornings. In US, even travellers stop by gym on high ways to do tread mill. Regards thank you and best wishes.

    I get what you are saying. but the only solution is to sleep earlier . set a target that by 10 30 , you will hit the bed , no matter what happens . something you think is important might not fit within that time but soon you will learn prioritize that time from reaching home to hitting the bed for only the most essential things

    With both husband & spouse working, it would be difficult to make meaningful beneficil changes in the routine and food habits. Changing life style perhaps include several options such as moving the residence to closer proximity to work, get rid of in-laws, move closer or away from parents residence,change to another job with flexi timings, sacrifice working itself provided hubby's earnings and savings sufficient to tide over regular needs, servantmaid timings etc. Life style changes can come only at great cost or and discomfort eventually leading to disharmony.

    Few suggestions:
    Finish max. work in morning itself..either ur self or get it done by maid..
    Dinner make it very simple..whatever you make for breakfast or lunch prepare extra and keep in fridge..reheat same and use for dinner..so that not much time is spent in dinner prep ..if u finish dinner early and then half a glass of warm milk u will feel sleepy..then u can sleep early and get up early also the next day..avoid watching TV or using gadgets after 10 pm as these give u headache and delay sleep time..
    There are many threads in working woman forum which give suggestions on how to manage time with cooking and office work, if u follow those u can manage your time for cooking and housework so u can relax after getting back from office.

    Very True! If it was so easy to change lifestyle, there wouldn't have been this problem in the first place :)

    What you said is right, we may feel other things are important. Like reading a book or watching TV to relax after a hectic day. But maybe at least during weekdays we must not give in to these things :)
