Travelling to India ,with passport expiring in 6 months

Check with your airlines too. Sometimes they don't allow you to travel with passports that are nearing expiry.

 

I dont understand why do people wait until the end of validity to to renew it.We can renew our passport in the final year of validity itself . for eg if passport expiry date is march 2013 , there is no need to wait until march 2013 to renew passport, we can renew it anytime after march 2012.i.e if the passport validity is 10 years. we can renew it after 9 years itself.
