I think, its other way. Nagarjuna's first wife (now ex) is Venkatesh's sis. After he met Amala, he divorced Venkatesh's sis.
You're right Puni :thumbsup Venky's sister, Lakshmi Ramanaidu is Nagarjuna's ex-wife. I think they were childhood friends and got married even before Nagarjuna came into acting. Juicy gossips about Nagarjuna-Amala affair (which of course is old and stale now):- When news about Nagarjuna-Amala affair arise, Amala denied ever breaking up Nagarjuna's previous marriage, claiming that Nag and Lakshmi were having marital problems even before Amala came into the picture. She even said that she fell in love with him only after his divorce using the 2 years gap between the time of his divorce and their marriage to her advantage (Nag divorced his wife in 1990 and married Amala in 1992). Nevertheless, there is a lot of news going around that their affair actually started in 1988 itself when the two first acted together in Chinna Babu. Ironically, Chinna Babu was produced by Nagarjuna's FIL (Venkat & Lakshmi's dad). During the shooting of Shiva in 1989, Nag and Amala got even closer and that's when Nagarjuna decided to file for divorce. His whole family were against the divorce, as it would mark the break of the relationship between two prominent Telugu film families but Nagarjuna was adamant and got his divorce the following year. Lakshmi then moved to Chennai with her son, Naga Chaitanya and Nagarjuna soon married Amala. Nagarjuna's family didn't attend his second wedding at all. The only other industry person who attended the wedding was Amala's close friend Danny Denzongpa.
