    Rachaputi,
Interesting thread..To clean mushrooms we can add just a teaspoon of maida and little water.. rub well and then wash it with water. The mushrooms will be clean from dirt in just one wash.

Hey me too use this, i learned it from my husband..

Usually every sunday dosa should be the breakfast for us. So as its sunday, making chutney karam is my duty, dosa is my H's

May be because of this now a days i'm very bad in making dosas, those will get crack or get stick to pan from after 2 to 3.

So, without onion i cant make dosa now a days :(

And sometimes, we just fry salt on pan for few seconds.

But onion is the best i feel..

For sticky dosa tava I too fry table salt on it till the salt goes brownish.. then wipe it with a tissue paper and I get nice crispy gold color dosas. I do not use onion as I do not like to use it for the next day so I have to throw it. I feel it's waste. .

All the tips were useful. Thanks all.. And I would like to contribute something. When making boiled eggs, always add some salt to the water. This will prevent the eggs from cracking. Even if the eggs crack, adding salt will prevent egg white from leaking out and maintains the shape of the egg.

Nice tips!! Also I would like to contribute, whenever we fry ladysfinger, it tends to be sticky and all the pieces stick together at times. One thing that I tried was one spoon of curd on it and after sometime little corn flour. And the ladysfingers were no more sticky!! :)

@rachaputi, even it happens to me all the time.. As I use salt it prevents the leakage. Do try and let me know your feedback.. :)
