    ANTI AGEING

    · Eat ripe papaya everyday to maintain a young body.
    · Vitamins A, B, C and potassium are very essential for maintaing youthfulness. Take food which are rich in these.
    · Take fresh leaves of cabbage as it helps in preventing ageing.
    · Amla is one of the prestigious herbs that prevent aging and promote longevity. It has been found to be the most abundant source of Vitamin C containing as much as 20 times that of an orange. It is supposed to rejuvenate all the organ systems of the body, provide strength and wellness. It also helps us to keep away from all the diseases by boosting our immune system.
    · Diet sweetened with honey could decrease anxiety, improve memory and help prevent aging.

    BLACK HEADS
    · Take 1tsp of groundnut oil and mix with 1tsp of lime juice and apply to face to prevent formation of blackheads.
    · Make a paste with fenugreek leaves and apply to face. Leave this for 15 minutes and wash your face with warm water.
    · Honey is also an effective medicine for blackheads. Slightly warm honey and apply to the blackheads and wash your face after 10 minutes.

    ACNE:
    • Grind turmeric with neem leaves and apply to the face and take bath after half-an-hour.
    • Get good exposure to sunlight. Sun actually kills the bacteria, and dries up the sebum oil that produces acne. This is a common home treatment for acne that doesn't cost anything.
    • Acne begins on the inside of the body, not on the surface of the skin. Drink plenty of water - at least eight glasses per day - to help detoxify your body and cure acne. Also eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
    • An oily hair may also lead to acne problems. So shampoo your hair twice a week. Maintain your weight by proper exercises and have good sleep.
    • Grind saffron with coconut milk and using a brush rub the pimple area with little force.
    • Make a mixture of carrot juice and mango juice and apply to face.
    • Rub Jhadhikkai ( tamil nattu marundhu) and apply to the pimples.


    Best known home remedies to treat cracked heels:

    Cracks in the heels occur due to the dryness of the skin. Our palms and feet are the area where skin produces no oil so they are usually dry. We need to feed them moister by applying sufficient moister on them. While the skin of the palms is soft, the skin of the feet is hard so it requires more care. If regular cleaning of the skin has been done by removing the dead skin, there are very few chances to get cracked heels. As soon as you see cracks drink lots of water. If there is dryness in your body, it will show off on your skin. Drinking water is the best way to keep the skin moist.
    • Apply the pulp of a ripe banana on the dry or cracked area of the heel. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse it clean.
    • Soak the feet in lemon juice for about 10minutes. Follow this therapy on a weekly basis until one finds a change.
    • A daily regime of cleaning and moisturizing is a good cure for dry or cracked heels. At the end of the day soak the feet in warm soapy water for about 15 minutes. Rinse feet and pat dry. Make a healing mixture comprising of: one teaspoon Vaseline and the juice of one lemon. Rub this mixture onto the cracked heels and other required areas of the feet till it is thoroughly absorbed. This can be done daily until visible results are obtained.
    • A regular application of a mixture of glycerin and rosewater is known to soothe and cure cracked heels.
    • Another result oriented solution is to melt paraffin wax and mix it well with little mustard oil. Apply on the dry or cracked area of the heels. Rinse it off in the morning. A continuous application for 10 to15 days can achieve desirable results.
    • Keep your legs for 5 minutes in hot water and another 5 minutes in cold water. This removes all the tiredness from your legs. Now mix 2 tsp of glycerine, 2 tsp of rosewater and 1 tsp of limejuice, mix well and apply to your leg and go to sleep. This not only makes your leg soft but also gives good sleep:)
    DANDRUF

    There are many reasons for dandruff. Less blood supply to the scalp, eating habits, mental worries, not maintaining the hair properly. Here are some home remedies which you can follow for a dandruff free hair.
    • Massage the hair with heated coconut oil or olive oil. Then apply lemon juice. After half-an-hour, wash with a baby shampoo. Repeat this twice a week till the dandruff gets completely reduced.
    • Keep your hair brush,towel and comb clean, wash with disinfectants once a week
    • Soak gooseberry in milk for one full day. Grind it well along with the milk. Now apply this paste to the hair and wash after some time. This helps in removing the dandruff effectively.
    • Grind urud dhal and mustard with water and apply to hair and wash after some time.
    • Put neem flower in gingely oil and massage hair with this oil to get relief from dandruff.
    • Another effective method is, Put hibiscus flower, shikakkai and neem leef in rice starch and heat it. Apply this to hair to remove dandruff.
    • Fenugreek seeds are also effective in reducing dandruff. Soften them in water and apply to the scalp every morning. After an hour or so, wash with soap nut. This will keep dandruff away and prevents falling hair.
    • The ingredients you will need are curd, honey and lemon. Use two tablespoons of curd and mix with three drops of honey and three drops of lemon juice. Mix together and apply to the scalp, leave on for fifteen minutes, then scrub for fifteen minutes.
    • Mix olive oil and almond oil and apply to scalp and leave on for five minutes. Once it starts to tingle rinse and shampoo.
    • Boil a handful of neem leaves in 4 teacups of water. After cooling and filtering, use for rinsing hair.
    • Before washing your hair, rub aloe vera gel into your scalp. Leave it on for 10 minutes, and shampoo your hair as usual.
    • Mix 6 spoonfuls water, a spoonful of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of salt and two spoonfuls of pure vinegar. Apply on the scalp with cotton wool. After shampooing, rinse again with vinegar water. Continue this for three months.
    • Henna mixed with old curds and lemon juice is also extremely effective in controlling dandruff. Make the paste a day before and keep on for at least two hours. Lovely burgundy highlights and dandruff-free hair guaranteed
    BODY WEIGHT
    · Salt helps in reducing weight. Add limejuice and salt to lukewarm water and drink empty stomach in the morning to reduce weight.
    • Soak 4 to 5 garlic pieces in milk and boil it till the milk is reduced to half. Eat the garlic along with the milk. Garlic helps in removing the unnecessary fat from the body.
    • Regularly taking cow's milk with honey also helps in reducing weight.
    • Including snake guord regularly in diet helps in reducing weight.
    • Grind carrot and add to butter milk and drink regularly to lose weight.
    • Papya ( not the ripe one) cooked with dhal helps in reducing weight.
    • Mix black pepper powder in vegetable soup and vegetables. It not only enhances the flavor of your food items but also helps in controlling obesity and burning excessive fat.
    • Eat papaya or vegetable soup as your dinner for 2-3 months if you want a quick weight loss. This works in controlling obesity.
    • Drink green tea or ginger tea as ginger is very effective in burning excessive fat in your body.
    • Mix small amount of honey and fresh ginger paste. Take this with half tablespoon guggul to control obesity.
    • Prepare a drink by adding half teaspoon fresh honey and half teaspoon fresh tulsi paste in a luke warm water. It is an effective home remedy for obesity control.
    • You can also try this most common and simple home remedy for obesity. Add half teaspoon fresh lemon juice and half teaspoon fresh honey in a luke warm water. Take this every morning with an empty stomach.

      Eat tomato in early morning as it is beneficial in keeping cholesterol level to the normal and reduce fat.
    • Horse gram is also very effective in controlling obesity. Soak 1-2 tablespoon of horse gram in a glass of water and allow it to rest overnight and take the soaked solution every morning in an empty stomach.
    • Eat a lot of cabbage, can eat as a salad or added to other food. Try to replace one meal with a cabbage meal.
    • Eating 10-12 fully grown curry leaves every morning for 3 to 4 months may be helpful in weight loss for obese and overweight people.
    • Eating a tomato in the morning before breakfast for 3 to 4 months may be helpful in weight loss for obese and overweight people.

    DENTAL CARE

    Regular brushing is very important in preventing tooth decay and gum disease. Brushing your teeth removes the bacteria of dental plaque that promote tooth decay and that can cause gum disease. Brush your teeth twice a day. Brushing the teeth in the morning gives beauty to the teeth and brushing the teeth in the night, keeps the teeth healthy and strong. As one has to take care of the bad odour of the mouth, it is very essential to brush the teeth after every meal.
    • Clove oil is great to use for toothaches. You can make your own by mixing together equal amounts of whole cloves and vegetable oil and allowing it to sit for several weeks. Cinnamon oil can be made the same way.
    · Boil some cinnamon in a cup of water. Store it in a clean bottle in your bathroom. Use it as a mouthwash frequently. Parsley leaves are rich in chlorophyll, nature's own deodorizer. Chew some leaves regularly and your breath will remain fresh. Alternatively, you can chew some cardamom seeds to sweeten your breath.

    · Mix salt with finely powdered rind of lime. Use this as tooth powder f requently.

    · One excellent toothache remedy is garlic. You can chew on a clove of garlic, or hold it against the tooth. The antibacterial properties of garlic are well known


    HAIR GROWTH
    • Add curry leaves to coconut oil, heat it and apply to hair to get good hair growth.
    • Take the seeds and skin of pumpkin and add to coconut oil, boil and use regularly to get good hair growth.
    • 4 drops aroma oil and 100g coconut oil and apply everyday to get good hair growth.
    • Methi green is full of iron, eating this regularly helps with good hair growth.

    • Curry leaves Hair Oil is very good for preventing prematured greying. It is very simple to make at home . Take fresh curry leaves , wash well & grind it as fine as possible with minimum water. Take 2 cups of coconut oil and a lemon size of this paste. Mix both in a kadai & put on fire. Heat on a low flame till the paste becomes like sand. After a day, strain the oil & use.Camphor can be added to enhance the smell. Application of this oil is good for hair-growth as well as to prevernt premature hair-greying.
    • Take Lavender oil - 5 drops, Lemon oil - 15 drops, Rosemarry oil - 15 drops and Teatree oil - 10 drops. Mix them all with coconut oil and apply to hair regularly for good hair growth.

    SKINCARE
    • Rub papaya fruit all over the face to get a shining complexion.
    • Boil water with neem leaves and wash to get a shining face.
    • Applying cucumber paste to the face gives a pimple free face.
    • Add Besan flour to curd, apply to face and wash after 15 minutes, helps to remove wrinkles from face.

    • Take 2 – 3 mint leaves and rub on your face to get shining face.
    • Soak poppy seeds in water and grind it. Apply to face and wash after 30 minutes with lukewarm water for a wrinkle free face.
    • Mix turmeric with rose water and apply to face. Removes unwanted hair from face over a period of time.

      Sunburn/Suntan
    • Mix 2 teaspoon tomato juice and 4 tablespoon buttermilk . Apply and wash after ½ hour.
    • Mix olive oil with equal quantity of vinegar and apply an hour before bath.
    • Soak few almonds early in the morning. Peel the skin and grind with 2 tsp of milk in the evening. Apply this paste to face and leave it overnight. Wash your face with cold water in the morning. Repeat this for 15 days to get a very good complexion.
    • Applying the paste of gram flour gives a smoother and fairer skin.
    • Applying cow's milk or buffalo's milk also makes the skin fair.
    • Apricot can be mashed and applied for a bright face.
    • Add 2 tsp of milk with gram flour. Make this into a paste and apply this paste to face and leave for 15 - 20 minutes and wash. Repeat this procedure for 2 -3 times a week to get a smoother and fairer skin.
    Tips to maintain oily skin:
    • Cucumber juice - 4 tsp, honey - 1 tsp, lemon juice - 1 tsp, mix all the three and apply to face and neck area to get a pimple free face and good complexion.
    • Smash a fully ripe banana, add lemon juice to it and mix well. Apply this to face and wash after 15 minutes.
    • The pores in a oily skin is big. To tighten the pores, take 1 tsp of tomato juice and mix with 1tsp of lemon juice and apply to face and wash after 20 minutes.
    EYE CARE

    Close your eyes with your hand without leaving any gap. Make it completely dark, now while dark, move your eye balls upward, downward and sidewards. This exercise helps in removing tiredness from the eyes.

    Closing eyes for 10 minutes and then continuing with the work also helps in removing tiredness from the eyes.

    Giving a cold water pack for 10 minutes also helps in removing tiredness from the eyes.


    • For bright eyes, apply 1 or 2 drops of castor oil before going to sleep.
    • Put 2 drops of pure coconut oil for once a week for getting bright eyes.
    • Grind badam nuts with milk and put a pack with this paste to remove dark circles.
    • Doing eye exercises helps in maintaining good eyesight.
    • Cucumber pack helps in cooling the eyes.
    • For boils in the eye, apply basil leaves juice.
    • Potato pack also helps in removing dark circles.

    LIP CARE
    • For dryness of lips and cracks, apply 1/2 tsp of milk cream with a pinch of turmeric powder and massage gently. This will make the lips soft and oily.
    • For cracks on the lips, you can apply butter or apply mustard oil.
    • If there is deposition of crusts on the lips, applying almond oil at night will help.
    • For black lips, mash the petals of rose flower with gycerine.
    • Groundnut oil is a good medicine for cracks in the lips. Regularly applying will help to remove the cracks.
    DYSENTERY:
    • Smash a well ripe Rasthali variety banana, add it to a cup of water. Drink this thrice a day to get relief from dysentery.
    • Fry fenugreek (methi) seeds in ghee, add a pinch of salt , grind it and eat it to get relief from dysentery.
    • Fry fenugreek (methi) seeds in ghee and grind it to a fine powder. Add this to hot water and drink. Helps in controlling dysentery.
    • Grind curry leaves and cumin seeds to a paste, put it in mouth and drink water.
    • Take juice out of ginger and add to hot water. To this add castor oil and take this regularly for few days to get completer relief from dysentery.
    • Take juice out of a ripe lemon. To this add rock salt and sugar and drink it. Drinking a mixture like this which is sour, sweet and salty helps in giving good relief from dysentery.
    • The best food to be taken during dysentery is cooked rice with little water retained in it. Add curds to this and eat to have a quick relief from dehydration.
    • Take tender curry leaves and make into a pulp, add honey to this and have a 1 tsp twice daily to get relief from dysentery.
    • 1tsp ginger juice, 1 tsp mint juice and 1 tsp honey gives good relief from dysentery.
    • Chop onion into fine pieces, add curds to it and eat it for a quick relief from dysentery.
