timelines for EAD

    Hi friends,

    Ive been living in Torrance,CA for the last 3 moths and on L2 visa.
    I had applied for my EAD by then end of june and am waiting to hear from the california center...is there anybody who has secured your EAD from the Califoria Service Center? EAD experiences and how long it takes to receive it with this center would be highly appreciated.

    Hi Sunitha,

    Thanks a lot for your reply. Did u get ur GC as soon as u got ur EAD? or was ur hubby's GC under process already? itz been 2.5 months since I applied and they havent really corresponded apart from sending my receipt...juz thot I cud ask people who got theirs recently...wl wait for another 15 days n if it still doesnt arrive, I shall got for my intrim EAD...

    We got our GC some 3-4 months after we got our SSN(which came soon after the EAD),i.e.,we all(husband,myself and son)applied for GC after my SSN came.My husband's SSN was already in place by then.

    oic...i thot thr needed to be some sponsorer for a GC...both my hubby n I hv our SSN's already...so does that mean that we can apply for our GC rightaway? sorry if this is a v.basic ques...

    It depends on the service center. My husband applied in Texas Service center in July 1st week and got it 2 weeks ago. This is his 2nd ead.If its a slow processing in your center it will take time.
