No, I just use an account to access & get art/creativity ideas.. don't post anything though, nothing I have is Pinterest worthy !
I will only make few laddos and limited chaklis just for symbolic sake . I have actually cut down on all the cooking shooking I do during festivals . Reasons : I am lazy .....damn lazy! Cleaning after spending all that time cooking ... that too all alone. All that ghee , oil and sugar?? Hate to feed so much sugar to kids too Eating is fine but then comes the stress of losing all that lbs . Finally when the festivals are over and I sheepishly step on the scales comes the million dollar question if all that cooking was worth it ?
Arey Laddoo ke sath sath mera extra lbs bhi lete jao. I will definitely need help in load shedding ...
I agree .. for me an additional reason is unable to perform routine cooking when making the Diwali stuff. I made rava ladoo last week & had Dh order dinner since I was too tired to cook that! Now what's the point of such Diwali cooking?
I am confused now . Dhanteras in US was yesterday right ? We do dhanvantari and kuber puja on dhanteras and some small puja for Ganesh and Lakshmi . Actual Lakshmi puja is done on Diwali day .
@Sunburst I checked some website which showed diwali days place wise in US & apparently for half the US it was showing Dhanteras on Monday and for some others on Tuesday.. So, I just decided to go by India's schedule, so celebrating dhanteras on Tuesday. We do Lakshmi pooja on Dhanteras, some do on Diwali day. To be honest, I do what I like within the broad Indian cultural/tradition framework!
Ya so confusing . I ended up doing yesterday . Tonight have throwball game with friends so won't have time after coming home . Now when is Lakshmi puja ?
