    We live in very entertaining times. At least it is good to consider them entertaining, if you don't want to end up being distressed and cry. Everything that our religions have to say always have a 'scientific' basis. Alternatively all the discoveries of the universe, starting with 'zero' originated in India. Aeroplanes were given to the world in the era of the Ramayana. Cloning was known during the time of the Mahabharata - remember the Kauravas? A good 100 of them.

    Now here is the most rational explanation why some men are allowed to marry 4 wives. They have 4 chambers in their hearts and each of the 4 women has a place in each chamber. Good Lord! Where is the place for the blood? Which wives would occupy the right side of the heart - or should I say the wrong side - considering all the impure blood goes in there. Am sure those women would not be too happy being suffocated for want of sufficient oxygen. Do the older wives (old being gold) get the oxygenated chambers where they can get some spa treatment without having to go to Oxygen bars? Or would the younger darlings occupy them? Makes me wonder. What if the husband is born with one chamber short, then does he get only 3 wives (oops, frogs have only 3 - maybe the wives will help turn him from a frog into a human being?), or do two of them still have to fight for living space?

    Well, let the wives fight out their living arrangements. Apparently they have very small hearts - probably having only one chamber. Maybe that is why they are allowed one husband. Or may be even God decided no woman should be sentenced to bringing up more than one husband. That way she would be more likely to survive until the infant husband (foisted on her by a mil who had failed in that department) grew up enough to be able to take reasonable care of herself.

    I enjoyed this Quite an analysis oxygen related wives themselves each having for chambers. Compare to frog's chambers good humour. The comment screenshot at the foot of the post is befitting.
    Thanks and regards.
    If wifi occupy each a chamber in some men, those men can not have peace at their heart nor God can dwell there.

    @satchitananda
    Then what happens if a man marries more than four wives? Will they get kidney, lever etc? What about polyandry where a woman has more than one husband like Draupathi? Will the same rule apply to them too?
    You know your threads make me very pensive!

    Simple. When if he gets more than 4 - strictly speaking not allowed - one could live in the kidney and give him more pain than all kidney stones put together. Or better still one of them would decide to give him a hard time. The liver would be a happy place to live. She can convert all the food he eats in the 4 houses into fat and that is how she can 'get under his skin'.

    As for Draupadi, she did not need so many chambers. The wife's pallu was good enough and after Krishna's miracle, there was plenty of pallu for all 5 of them to hang onto! :p

    Dear Satchi,

    I refer you to the philosophical thoughts expressed by @Thyagarajan as it is unfortunately in Tamil that you can't read, I am giving an English summary.

    A man lives with four wives. He takes very good care of a wife. Another wife he spends a lot of time with and the third one he loves dearly and the fourth he doesn't spend any time at all and literally she is on her own.

    When he was in death bed, he begged all four wives to come with him. The first one refused immediately and that is his body. The second one decided to be with someone else instead of him that is his wealth. The third one accompanied with him up to the cremation ground but left after that they are friends and relatives. The fourth one who accompanied him is his Atma.

    Note: Besides, when wife has the extraordinary skill to extract what is in her husband's heart from outside in a heart beat, why give her space inside the heart?

    That is a beautiful analogy, Viswa.
    Just went for a walk and on my way back saw a 8-10 year old kid all excited about a dog and trying to get his mom's attention. The mother was too busy with her mobile to even listen to the kid or look in the direction in which he was pointing. This is an example of how wifis have occupied our entire hearts - be it man, woman or child.
