Hi Sindhu, welcome back !! No it was not in the package for the dance. We went to this Jorhat book fair where we were fortunate to see their traditional dance, hear songs, etc. As for the mask maker, this is another satra and since we collect masks we went to see the collection and had been fortunate once again to meet this gr8 man !! Oh god, could not do mch shopping owing to lack of time and when we checked at the airport their saris cost were sky high but exclusive too. I wanted to by a chunni atleast which I didnt .........now regret it !! Thankfully got some Assam Masala Chai !! I envy you for the dress of course !!

Nice to read some of the information.. 100 types of rice there..and wow what a thing to know the below one !!! I missed an opportunity to visit the state during my students days..when one of my friends who lived there, got married and insisted on me attending the function ..my bad . Hello Saras, I think you missed that great opportunity of attending the wedding of your friend !! In 2009, we attended a wedding in Kalimpong and it was such a beautiful place too. I am still hunting for those pictures of my trip there + Sikkim which when I get will post them for everyone and kindly their love for travelling to the NE where the people are friendly and the beauty of our Mother India still untamed can be rejoiced !!
