You have a good memory as this is what helped you to look for the missing pendrive instead od some thing else.I n my early eighties I keep myself busy searching for my cell phone and more so specs happily perched on my nose.

There is along poem by Haribans Rai Bachchan father of Amithabh Bachchan entitled Madhushala. One such relevant line is :
"Pyar nahi pa jane me, hai pane ke armano me,
Pa jate to kyon sunder lagti Madhushala"
Very crude translation:
(Love is it in having a thing but in wishing to have it. Madhushala is lovely because i have yet to reach there)
Madhushala means the Travern or liquor bar.
Finding something misplaced may be irritating in the beginning but just imagine the pleasure one gets when found. Just imagine the thoughts that come after that!
Many a times I have misplaced things and found them in most unlikely places.
