Oh where did I leave those pendrives?
I know they were at home
In a little box I left them
    I know pendrives don't roam

    I searched every cupboard
    And even a million bags
    and a zillion pencil satchets
Till I was a miserable rag

They were in no little boxes
    Nor in the million bags
    Oh where those little pendrives?
I need them oh so bad

I found them in a pencil box
    Liberated from plastic box
Oh what a relief that was
To my guardian angels be thanks

And where ever is my memory?
Where did I leave it behind?
Is it stuck in a broken computer
    With a defective RAM?

    Maybe I'll find it someday
When I need it no more
In a little box called 'memory'
    Hidden in some store

Haha. "It is very safe and sound" is the term we use at home for something we need urgently but are not able to find. Too safe and sound even for us to find it. Let us hope our memories don't become that safe and sound.

Yes Balajee. Appa used to always say 'ingeyo baddrama vecchurken!" :-D I used to shudder at his 'badram' especially if it involved my stuff. The apple did not fall too far from the tree! I had carefully emptied the plastic box and put it in the pencil sachet, neatly arranged with sharpeners, rubbers, little stapler and what not. I had already checked said satchet, but I was looking for the little plastic box inside! I had forgotten I had worked so hard some day. As for your prayer, amen! Mine is already halfway too safe!

    Dear Satchi,
Almost all of us say this. "It is somewhere in the house only kept safely and when we search for some other thing we will find this."

Veetuku veedu vasapadi. there is a threshold at every house.
We are all sailing in the same boat.

:hello:if something seemed to have been misplaced can drive one to ecstatic verses, it can lead her or him to misplace things/moods often! and may enhance productivity too.
2."if we think we are thinking then we are not thinking". if memory is lost one may not be able to get it with help of uncle Google but if it is in Hard Disk, of course, one can retrieve. Always A RAM is there TO LEND SUCCOUR for every SITHA.
    3. if lost article or object is to be searched, just forget and search for something else and lo you get the one you stopped searching. that is another philosophy of life.
Thank You. Regards. God Bless Us All.

True Thyagarajan. Every cloud has a silver lining. So losing something and then finding it after a massive search (something as small as a pendrive) certainly is inspiring!!! :)

Totally agree with point 3. I always tend to find something when I am not looking for it. That's why I hope to find my memory when I am not digging around in my brain for it!!!

:grinning::grinning: So you found your pendrive and hence the humour in your poem! Everyone can relate to this situation of keeping something somewhere too safe to be found! I have found an almost 100% solution for this by jotting down any imp. item i safekeep into an annual diary that i maintain. It started with storing passwords and now have moved on the note down almost all imp. things. The usual searching around for the mobile with its ringtone silenced et all continues, but it doesnt have any serious repercussions:)

So long as the diary is found, it's fine! :-D I'd have to worry about that too.
