Thanks for liking the poetry and sharing your mental imagery. When I wrote, for some strange reason I too had imagined a lighthouse! Perhaps, it's lonely stature blends with the mood of the poetry.

 

Feeling tongue tied... I beg or borrow words from here and there...can't think of suitable words in Telugu!

 

Yandamuri Veerendranath is a familiar name. Many of his works have been translated to Kannada. I think I have read a couple of them though I can't specifically recall now. Reading so much of Telugu may be an uphill task but I will give it a try. Thanks for the references, Mistt.

I hadn't thought on the lines mentioned by you. Basically it is about a love affair that didn't workout. From her angle, he used and left her perhaps to never return and from his side, may be he saw that their relationship wouldn't grow and he left giving a false hope to her. The story here basically focuses on her longing. I haven't said anything conclusively and it is open to reader's interpretation.
