Sandy! Hats off for such an entertaining suggestion. I am sporting a permanent smile since I read your response imagining the solution you suggested! You are right, we can have Rajkumar on one tree, MGR on the next, Balasaheb Thackrey on the third........Rahul Gandhi...:smash2: I wonder if Rahul Gandhi poster can protect anything at all!

Geets, I truly enjoy the saga of your egrets. I'm hoping to see more nature articles from you.

BTW have you been to the Sewri mud flats?

Yeah, @Frangipani, that's life; Kabhi khushi, Kabhi gham. We Indians, specifically Hindus believe in Animism or nature worship. Yet modern commercial outlook is destroying everything.

You are not alone! 'Merciless tree-hacking' by municipal agents seems to be a widespread disease. Here's news of some compatriots fighting the good fight, from the New York Times this morning. Enjoy!

Thanks for the interesting share. Tree hacking from time to time is essential but indescriminate and unscientific hacking is not. That feeling of powerlessness is tough to accept.
