The body remembers what the heart forgets
Once I was in love with you
I was at your every whim

The seas that were never meant to be were finally parted
The seas that were never meant to be were finally parted

Alas, my eyes see a road, a highway, a blue sky

And suddenly my heart remember everything

    What could have been
And what wasn't meant to be

    I travel these roads
    Roadways, Parkways, Freeways, Highways

And am confronted with a fork on the road

    There is no going back
    There is no going back

You take the fork on the road and continue on

The seas that were never meant to be were finally parted
The seas that were never meant to be were finally parted

My wishes, dreams, and desires were never meant to be
They will never be the same
After taking that fork on the road

    We can only continue on

The heart may have moved on
The body senses things to to remind the heart

    What wasn't meant to be
    Wasn't meant to be

And we must live on ....
