Pihu, I do not think the DVD or VCD or Abohoman is out yet! I hope it will be out soon. I did not have the opportunity of watching it in the theatre.

In the 57th National Awards, the Best Audiography award was shared by Resool Poorkutty (who had earlier won the Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire) for “Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja”, Anup Dev (re-recordist of the final missed track) for “3 Idiots” and Subash Sahoo (location sound) for the Vishak Bhardwaj film “Kaminey”

Eminent film personality, Ramesh Sippy, was the chairperson of the jury on feature film. He said the system that was adopted for selection of movies for this year’s National Awards was a “two-tier” one.

Ramesh Sippy was effusive in his praise for Amitabh Bachhan. He recognized Amitabh’s brilliant efforts in portraying Auro’s character. The decision on the recipient of the BEST ACTOR award was absolutely unanimous.
Bachhan had earlier won National Awards for Saat Hindustani (Best Newcomer), Agnipath (Best Actor) and Black (Best Actor).

According to Sippy, almost every decision was unanimous and required little deliberation.
The Telugu film Magadheera won National Awards for special effects and choreography. Renowned music director Ilayaraja bagged the award for the Best Background Score for “Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja”.

Sreekar Prasad won the Best Editor award for Kaminey, Kutty Srank and Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja.
