    Dear Vani,

Need I say how touched I am with your warm response. I have to confess - I surprise myself when an urge to write comes and I put it down and it is only in retrospect I realize the doings of my mind. I am only grateful I an pen it down and even more grateful that I have friends who understand and respond! Thank you!

Thank you Syamala as always for your feedback. I think certain scenes ad people bring out a feeling of All is well in me more than normal I guess and that is when I feel a moment's bliss. It is ruminating on that moment is what leads to snippets like this :)

Thank you Kamala! The chaos sometimes is so intense that unless we make that effort to try to find that center, it is not going to be easy for any one. It is on one of such quests that i came across this scene and I guess I could relate to it as days unfolded after that picture! But I have to confess, I am in awe of some people I come across who are so well put together that I know it is possible. It is reminding myself that every day that helps me and putting it down in a way solidifies the same in my mind and heart. Thank you for words.

    Balajee,

I am deeply moved. Thank you. I am certain that like the rest of the world I am trying to cope as well and I do agree with you about meditation. I will not say I haven't sat cross legged. I have to get my certification and a few other times but like you pointed out, it did not work for me all the time. The peace and joy I get out by being in unison with the nature around me has helped me immensely. Doing yoga is meditative for me and I have learnt that spinning can get that way too! So anything can be that way. See you have said the exact same thing. Thank you!

    My dear Srama
A Brahmin once sent his two sons to a learned pundit to study the Vedas and Upanishads. Having completed their study after twelve years, they returned home. Their father asked one of them:
”Have you understood Brahman?” The boy said “Yes” and started quoting sloka after sloka from the scriptures to explain what Brahman was. Listening patiently to his son’s verbose exposition, the father told him, “Boy, you have not understood Brahman”.
He then asked his other son if he had understood what Brahman was. He did not give any answer, but kept quiet. The father asked him the same question twice, thrice and four times. Still the boy remained silent.
The father then said, “My boy, I am delighted to see that you have really understood Brahman”

I read this story when going through various explanations given for the saying in Tamil,
'Kandavar vindilar; vindavar kandilar' (The one who has seen it does not talk about it but the one who talks about it has not really experienced it). But you defy this famous saying. Hats off to you!

    Dear V sir,

Thank you for talking about the book. I will be certain to look it up. What you explain from the book about mind, body and soul is very interesting. I find it interesting the way you mention "The soul will be free from bondage and no one can escape it but only delay it". I think it is that precise understanding that helps us understand the world and see the good. Knowing everyone is on that path is joyful.

    As for this part,

I will honestly confess that I have never been looking for anything. It is a pet peeve of friends who are on spiritual path that I am so flippant. The truth is I am not - everything in the world makes some sort of sense to me. Yesterday in fact I had an interesting discussion with a friend on spirituality and he mentioned that he groups people into two categories - those who believe in logic and those who believe in magic and both the groups make sense in their own way. I found it quite interesting. Anyways, I am off topic but to your point (on the direction I am taking), I truly thank you for your words. I would like to think I am on some spiritual path but truth be told those moments of serenity are very few and far between. But they are there, like in anyone else's life and language allows me to express. And from your brief description of losing consciousness, I think I understand. My yoga teacher if far more knowledgeable and I will be happy to introduce her to you.

    Thank you for this feedback.

    Dear Cheeniya sir,

Do you know how much you delight me with your responses? That story is amazing and I do discuss things like that with my DH - mostly in the context of all those amazing people who make a difference to the world, yet remain anonymous or all those wise people who hide behind their cloaks of normalcy with a deep personality, quietly going about making their difference to the people they come in contact with. I have been extremely fortunate to know people like that. So what you have quoted here
makes absolute sense. Couple that with Bach's "You teach best what you need to learn the most", I end up re-reading Illusions and I am left wondering. But knowing you and knowing the wisdom with which you speak, I will warmly take this compliment. Thank you!

    Dear Srama,

Your writings always look like a puzzle to be solved, and somewhere between the maze of words lies the truth, the emerging picture, which is absolutely stunning, just like this bench. You have set yourself an extremely high standard of writing both content and quality wise, and I only wish I try to reach such phenomenal heights!

    Dear Agatha,

Thank you for your feedback and your words. There is no writing here! Trust me on that one. All I am doing is thinking out loud and thanks to the incredible answers that I get here, I sort it all out. I am ever grateful for the association of many ILtes here.

    Thank you!
