I think we should not give up on our goals. We have to keep trying with whatever energy and time we have left after taking care of family. Opportunity can come anytime.
I have dream to achieve something in life(my career goals). But sometimes it feel hopeless and unrealistic. Still, whatever free time I get I give to that because any day a door can open. But if I'm not prepared that time, it'll be wasted.I hope after 10 years I'll be in a position to balance my choice career and my kids. I hope our major issues get solved by then.

BTW, Is this new account of MonikaSG? Really sorry if I'm mistaken

    Dear M,

For time pass, we can all daydream and build castles in the air. Wonder how much will actually materialise. In the past, my planning hasn't worked so I do not wish to plan. But...some planning and daydreaming keeps our hopes alive and gives us something to look forward. Khayali pulav paka toh sakte hai, shayad kha nahi sakte!

Ten years hence, I wish to have good health and wisdom to accept whatever life has to offer. Otherwise, I may be in the heaven enjoying the company of God and the good souls! :):innocent::angel:

Thanks for the reply. Your guess is right...just didn't wanted to use my real name. Those who work can only achieve. Just keep your positive thinking on. Take care..

Thanks for the reply. Yes daydreaming is always possible but becoming that true is not. It may be because if god will leave everything on our dreams then we will not be able to even dream careless. He gave us freedom and we should enjoy...just kidding.

Missy, I look forward to my 'budda salon' evenings in retirement home.

While other old fogeys lament about their unfulfilled lives and withdrawn kids and how the cruel dystopian culture has destroyed humanity, I would sneak out of the salon and ride up to my doddering squeeze/boyfriend whom I met the day before in the next wing and honk and shout:

"Are you ready? The night is young and alive! Let's rocka."

This bought an unexpected chortle . You are too sweet @messedup
I guess ones intelligence is a reflection of our own understanding/knowledge . At work , have a colleagues that speak about American retro music and shows (not the ABBA ‘s or the Freddie Mercurie’s or the threes comapany ) but things you would only know if you grew up in the USA . I mostly have nothing to contribute and are always surprised of how lil I know .
@Iravati add a teleporter to it and I would imagine travel through worm holes a reality .

10 years from now I wish to be more at peace with myself , somewhat poised, learnt a whole lot , stamped through atleast 5 passports.

Wisdom occasionally sparks in a flash like wisdom tooth that wasn't the night before but jutting since morning. Reading a chuckly and amusing wisdom is similar, why didn't I come up with that flash awakening yesterday.

Similarly, your analogy and observation is spot-on whilst I scratched my head on how to demonstrate that intelligence is relative and selective and tentative and other -ive-sounding jargon. I am usually embarrassed when anyone points at my "intelligence" or "smarts" as I harvest facts only through my affinity and that faculty is apparently informed in keen but slim pursuits. Ask me which episode and when of X-files. Any broader ken is beyond my lean brain.

Have you watched Dark on Netflix? The fictional worm hole is a grimy and bland tunnel in a cave. They ruined it for me! Nobody stretched and warped like a spaghetti.

Teleporters raise ethical concerns that rub the moralists on the wrong side. Is the reassembled molecular signature equivalent to the original? The machines might have to go through countless shakedowns even for modest risk rating. Also, you are supposed to carry peanuts to replenish the lost proteins and evaporated salts from the Matter Transference Beam in those machines on your hitchhiking rapid distances. With peanut allergies soaring by the day, teleporters are not in sight in the next 200 years from the joint venture of safety control and peanut market regulator.
