Technical Writers/Technical Courseware Development in USA:Need guidance plz

Hello IL's,

I worked as a technical courseware developer for a year in a company in India which is headquartered in USA .I worked as a curriculum & a courseware developer for IT(network security, secure programming ) and E-Business professional certification courses offered in the USA.I have a Masters Degree in Information Systems from India.

I moved to the USA after marriage and now on a H4 visa.After getting a work permit , i would like to use my previous experience in writing to find jobs in USA.Am also learning testing tools now. I would like to know if anyone of you is working as a technical writer here in USA in similar roles and request guidance & inputs as am a novice in this field.
