hi leena How are you ? Wish you and family a very Happy New Year dear !!!!!!!!!! I cant forget you, kavitha nair and swathi ..we had been regular in IL before...good times !!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on buying a new MW !!!!!!!!!! Does it have baking option ? If it has then very good choice. I did not look for it while buying one and only when I tried baking cakes i came to know that. So had to buy an OTG oven (Oven/Toaster/Griller) for baking alone....a costly lesson learnt !!!!!!!!! leena....i am also new to baking but i found this site really very very very helpful ....homecookreceipesblogspot Baking in OTG | Home Cooks Indian Recipes for those who are learning to bake...all the tips are explained in a very beautiful manner and even people like me can try out new baking recipes. so check out and try dear. There are microwave cake recipes too which I am yet to try. Regarding microwave recipes ...I have tried out Chitvish Mam's MW kesari, Rava sheera and Banana kadabu and they came out excellent every time I make. A favourite among my friends too. Try them for sure. Nice to see you again here leena...looking forward to see more of you in IL this year as long long ago....!!!!!!!!!! bye leena..take care....
Dear krithika Thanks for coming in here.... 1. Have you done this in microwave oven . No krithika..I did this in an OTG (oven.toaster.griller) 2. What is the brand of your oven. Mine is a local make....Name KIRIN Electric Oven 3. what is preheating in microwave. preheating is heating the oven for 15-20 minutes before keeping the cake /muffins/cookies tray inside to bake. 4. What is the temp used for preheating. 5. After preheating do we need to set temp. i am also new to baking but i found this site really very very very helpful ....homecookreceipes.blogspot http://homecookreceipes.blogspot.com/2010/03/baking-in-otg.html for those who are learning to bake...all the tips are explained in a very beautiful manner and even people like me can try out new baking recipes. so check out and try dear. I preheated for 20 minutes and baked for 30-35 minutes to make this cake. With this quantity i made two medium sized cakes. Happy Baking dear krithika !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sunitha, Wish you a happy new year dear. Hmmmmmm....... Cake looks sooooooooo yummy. Like to eat now itself. I regularly prepare the cake with the proportions for my kids just as you have mentioned but i use cupcake moulds to prepare small cakes as they are more handy for them and they love them a lot.
