Although my language is shaky, I understood that a TADKA for a Rasam has to be always in Ghee and not in any oil. This Neem Flower Rasam is a traditional dish for the New Year's day. I always get more than one opinion (like going to a doctor) on cooking recipes I like this girl's saree, but she had handicapped herself with old-fashioned cooking vessels :
@Amulet i make rasam without oil or ghee.Pepper, jeeragam,Toordhal, dhaniya are grinded as powder and garlic flakes are added with this powder and just crush garlic flakes.Mix this with grinded tomato and tamarind water and keep on the stove .add a pinch of asafoetidiya .when the Rasam begin to boil spray water over it and switch off the stove. Then add salt and coriander leaves stir well and keep aside. This is my style of making rasam. Regarding the old fashioned cooking utensils -This is the trend used by all TV channels .
