suggestions to complete the charcoal sketch

Dear friends,

I am in a fix to help daughter complete this sketch. i am attaching her version and the inspiration she used to do the sketch.

the problem is the hair..how to go about fixing the hair.. experts and connoisseurs both can give their suggestions.

I felt a little more shading/erasing in the hair part would bring a better effect..but have my doubts, and don't want to make her mess up a good picture..

Oh, it is just suggestions sowmya. a different perspective. it so happens all the drawings are inspired by teen favorites twilight, pop singers..and it just comes out that way. we have already asked her the same question and she says it is not a reflection of me, so don't worry..

on that note , let me post a not sad picture from her..

thanks. no she has not gone for any classes. we just learn together by trial and error and of course through the criticism and comments.
