There he was, as usual lying
Amidst the ruins of that ship.
The waves gentle, winds so soothing,
The sea pecked the ship's tip.

It was far away from where
    People usually came and stood.
In nights, that part of the shore
    Was feared, not considered good.

To him it was the place of solace.
His tortured soul found some peace.
"Not being wanted, just like you!",
He said resting as though its due.

    In rags, looking so unkempt,
You won't look at him again.
A mad man or a beggar, who cares?
    You enjoy being there again!

That night it rained so heavily and
The sea was playing it all rough.
The waves smothered that poor ship and
Broke it more as if it wasn't enough.

He came there a week from then.
The ship was but nowhere to be seen.
"Stranded you are like me now!",
He said to the sea and left unseen!

Very well written Rgs Sir! The isolated place, ruins of a ship, rustling sound of the waves and the rain to paint it all beautiful - all so picturesque in your poetic flow. No wonder it was his solace! Loved it!

Thanks @Rajeni for your appreciation. Happy to receive it. Just a request - address me as 'rgs' please madam!
Besides, there is a twist in the second last line, that was deliberate. Hope you caught that too! :) -rgs

I did catch that Rgs! And that did raise a lot of questions. Did he mean that he is stranded there (an island or something)? Was he someone who came in the ruined ship? Did he just mean the sea is stranded without the ship? (but why?) - All these flooded my mind but just thought I would sound stupid if I ask all these :p
Moreover, the beauty of a poetry lies in the incomprehensible part of it, said someone :)
