Didn't know such a thing was possible - making sandwich on stove top. : )

Found couple in amazon, this looks good Amazon.com: Toas-Tite Aluminum Sandwich Grill, Regular: Kitchen & Dining with not too long handle.

This is made in India Amazon.com: Diablo Stovetop Toasted Sandwich Snack Maker: Electric Contact Grills: Kitchen & Dining

Most of them make circular sandwich, and looks like some part of bread slices goes waste.

This allows square/rectangle sandwich on stove top: Amazon.com: Yoshikawa Atsu-Atsu Hot Sandwich Maker SJ1681: Kitchen & Dining

And this is an electric sandwich maker without the sandwich getting divided in half (I also don't like that).

Amica, you buy one and review, I'll buy one and review. : )

Thank you @Rihana, @justanothergirl and @MalStrom! You guys are rock stars.

They are awesome! My Gran used to make them stuffed full of yummy goodness. :yum:

The round ones waste half the sandwich and they're not as deep as the square ones.

The flat ones are no different than grilling on a skillet.

I like the Indian-style hot sandwich makers which seal the sandwich edges. I want to make a batch of these and freeze for snacks.

I'm beginning to sound picky like Goldilocks: This is too round. That is too shallow. The other one is not sealed.

If you use a bread large enough to fit, the edges get sealed perfectly just like the Indian ones. The long handles are cumbersome but not impossible. I bought this several years ago. There may be better designs with shorter handles now.

Thanks! This looks like an excellent alternative to the desi sandwich makers.
