In India ,we get big steel containers for chapatti flour. Here we do not get that size and forget about steel Even in good plastic. is impossible.
At present, My flour stays in the bag but problem is, once cut open, it spills everytime I take out. No matter how careful I am.
I even tried splitting in small containers but not working.

I am looking for good size container for that now. Any ideas where I can get that?
I tried walmart and some other stores. Do not find big size .

It is best not to take rice, atta, etc.. out of the store bag. Insert the whole bag into the plastic container, and then cut the top open with a scissors. Drop a scoop in the grain or atta, and use that when you want to scoop that out. Never a mess.

I use a large OXO Pop container. It will hold a 5 lb bag of flour.

Good idea. I did not know sterilite can be used for food items. Moreover size and openings are slightly different. Do you put whole bag in it or pour it out in box?

I buy biggest flour bag from store so would need max size container.

i know flour spilling is a total headache. also it's hard to find good containers here. as for now the flour that i buy comes in a plastic bag that has been packed in an outer thick plastic cover. i cut both open at the top. if you cut the top off the bag completely, you can easily take out flour using flour cups, without spilling. and if there's any spillage, it falls in the outer bag. after you are done you can fold the top of the bag and put a big binder clip on it
