    Cold Coffee - from scratch!

This is similar to iced coffee except that frozen milk cubes are added along with frozen coffee cubes. Crushed ice cubes can be added optionally.

Cold Mocha - lovely coffee-cocoa combo!

    Blend together
frozen coffee cubes+frozen milk cubes+crushed ice cubes + chocolate syrup + brown sugar.
The strength & proportion varies with individual taste. Chilled coffee decoction & milk can also be used, but, the frozen cubes give an "exaggerated" fizz like the one given in coffee shops. A scoop of coffee or chocolate or vanilla ice cream can be added when you make it for as party.

    Coffee Smoothy - cinnamon-coffee-caramel!

You cannot ask for a more enjoyable combo. I made little caramel syrup as per my recipe in
    Caramel Payasam

    (Sugar - I cup

It is preferable to do this in a pressure cooker or a big pressure pan to prevent

Heat the cooker very well on a high flame till it gets really hot.

    Add 1 tbsp of sugar.

    Do not stir.

    It will start caramelizing.

When it becomes dark brown add ½ cup of hot water (beware, it will splash!) .)

Frozen coffee+milk cubes, banana, cinnamon powder+caramel syrup

    Mint-Ginger Ale - flavour & aroma!

    I used the centrifugal juicer.
    BUT,
if you do not have the same, grate all vegetables, add little water, liquidise & strain.
Add lime juice at the end and serve over crushed ice.

Iced Lemon-Dry Ginger Tea - to beat the heat!!

I use tea bags and specially green tea bags. Green tea is becoming very popular; but is (according to me) insipid if we drink it hot. It is very enjoyable, when chilled. You can add sugar or artificial sweetener.
It is said to be helpful to prevent cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, high cholesterol levels, cariovascular diseases and infections. It is a powerful anti-oxidant as well.
For 4 cups of tea, use 4 tea bags.
Boil 2 cups of water with crushed dry ginger or ginger powder.
When it starts boiling, switch off, add tea bags & keep covered for 15 mts.
Strain, but do not squeeze the tea bags. Add 2 more cups of water.
Add lime juice & sugar to taste.
I usually keep a sugar syrup ready by boiling 1 cup of sugar+ 1/2 cup of water for 3-4 mtes & straining.
Chilled tea can be kept in the fridge for 2 days. Take a cup, liquidise (to get a fizz) with crushed ice cubes.
Instead of dry ginger, you can add tea masala.
Any variation of your choice can be tried!

    Iced Mint Ginger Lemon Tea

This can be made with regular tea or green tea. The procedure is the same as above.
If you have home-grown Tulsi leaves, substitute in place of ginger.

Plum Lassi - lovely, tangy taste!

This is the plum-season here& this lassi is ideal to quench the thirst when it is scorching hot! I used honey; you can use brown sugar as well.

    Fruit-Lassi-Smoothy

I added 1 tbsp of Flaxseed oil, now available here. It can be added to any smoothy, lassi or milkshake, but the blending has to be thorough so that there will be no oil droplet.
I soaked dates & added with my usual frozen banana though I have shown fresh banaa in the photo.
No sugar is added & the fruits combined with fresh curds is deliciously tangy!
