For I'am gng to eat - Naan saapida poren!
I am gng to sleep - Naan thoonga poren!
padukka is normally used to "lie down" -- thoonga is "to sleep" -- tidur is "to sleep" in malay

Sorry teacher :bowdown(hehe the red ink reminds me so much of the way my teacher used to correct my work in school)
But yes, you're absolutely right about the two. I just wrote the way I speak (and so you now know how bad my spoken tamil is:hide:) and thanks for the correction!

These are translations into spoken tamil..

    1. How much is this for? -- ithu evlo?

    2. Where can i get it ? -- itha enga vangalam?

    3. stop -- niruthu

    4. where ? -- enga?

    5. What ? -- enna?

    6. yes -- aamam

    7. No -- illai

    8. I -- naa

    9. Want -- venum

    10. Have fun -- seriously people don't use this in tamil! if they want to say they say 'have fun' in english..

you must have noticed.. you can very well mix lots of english words in tamil.. and people understand perfectly ! not necessary to translate every single word!

    10. Have fun --Gala galanu irunga :biggrin2:

Just kidding! The above quote is strictly meant to be used on a comical mode.

Preethi was right. Most people tend to mix english with tamil nowadays, and tamilians will understand that. But do keep learning :thumbsup

have fun - the proper translation - vedikaiyaga irungal! but please dont ever use it to anybody!! they will think you have come from 15th century; and 90% people would not understand..

gala galanu irunga is more to being cheerful!
