Re: Garbha Rakshanbika Sloka-For conceiving. Dear aammi & Suji, Please go to To beget children - 1 To beget children - 2 To beget children - 3 To beget children - 4 Love, Chithra.
Dear chitraji, I thank u from the bottom of my heart for having started this thread.I am sure this has benefited so many and will continue to do so. I want to include some of the shlokas like inducing +ve thoughts and many others but i am not sure how many times should i say each shloka. I will be greatful if u could specify as to how many times a particular shloka has to be chanted and the auspicious day for the same.Usually we chant shlokas to benefit us .Is there any way by which our chanting benefits our dear ones? thank u once again. rama
tripuradasan sir, thanks for your mantras Chanting Sangashta Naashana Ganesha sthothram from Naarada Puraanam "Prathamam vakrathundam cha Eaka Dantam dwiteeyakam...." is that mantra a single line.
Dear Rama, Welcome to IL & to this forum. What I am writing is purely my personal opinion. Others are likely to disagree with me. Shlokas can be chanted any time of the day, any no: of time. It is purely one's convenience. I feel, shlokas benefit our dear ones also, if we extend our thought process to them also, when chanting. Every day is a creation of God & good for beginning a new thing ! I repeat, I am just writing my personal opinion. Love, Chithra.
Thank u Chitvish madam. U have written elsewhere that today is vainkunta ekadashi,so i shall start these slokas today itself even though I am having high fever and v bad cold. If I take a bath is it enough or should I take head bath madam, coz i will be starting this today.I am sorry if this is a stupid question. Suji
Dear Sujimalige, I am very sorry to butt in between you and MrsChitVish. I saw MrsCV is not online for a short while, so am interfering here. Today being Vaikunta Ekadashi is indeed a divine day to do chants. I myself got to know of it after reading MrsCV's write up here and am doing my japam in the evening. However, if you have high fever and cold, my personal feeling is that you should not have a bath leave alone a head bath. Medical attention is not immediate in the US, and especially in winter, it is best not to aggravate ill health. You could just do Hari naama japam without a bath. Or just wash feet, hands and face in warm water, sprinkle some water mixed with turmeric powder on your head and body and do the chant. God is sure to accept this with the same intensity. Even if you do a mental sankalpam (vow) to do the chant and start it on another day,God will just be pleased. MahaVishu and Thaayar are compassion, we are all their children. Nothing we do will irritate them, just a simple thought will bring them close to us. Take care of your health. Good Luck with your prayers! affly Vidya
Dear Suji, Please - no question is stupid. If health allows, take a (body) bath or wash your feet & hands, apply a little water (mixed with a dash of turmeric if possible)on your head ( this is equal to taking a headbath!) & start. As I always repeat, more than observing formalities, right attitude & interest are more important. All the best. Love, Chithra.
Dearest Vids, I just saw your post to Suji, after I answered it ! We have echoed similar suggestions. Thankyou ! Love, Chith.
Dear vidya, Thank u sooo much for ur post. I shall take sankalpa today and start as soon as i get well. Even I am scared of aggravating my ill health as I have nobody to take care of me here (husband has gone to office). Thanks again dear friend. Suji
