Special Care For Your Spectacles

Many wear spectacles either to avoid dust &dirt or due to myopia or hyper myopia. Few need to wear it throughout the day, then the maintenance for the same demands more attention.

Have your eye test done annually without fail and use the prescribed power glass. To get a perfect spectacle reach an expert optician and select a frame that suits you and note not to get a tight frame which may lead to head ache. The frame should not be too small but should cover your eyes fully so that you can see through the glass and have a clear vision. Especially for senior citizens the frame should completely sit on the ear and should also support the hearing aid without disturbing it.

Always wear spectacles when working on a computer and handle them with care for long term utility. Use of fibre or plastic instead of glass helps in breakage free handling, but it’s more expensive and not scratch resistant. Its light weight and the thickness of the glass is lesser and the heaviness for high power is minimum.

@ Always, use both hands to handle spectacles rather than single hand.

@ Place the spectacles face up on table or best of all in its case. Placing the spectacles face down causes the scratches over the glass surface of the spectacles.

@ Never leave spectacles nearer to hot surface

@ Avoid hot water and chemicals to clean the spectacles.

@ clean the spectacles with dust free cloth

@Spray Auroclean (any spectacle cleaning solution) on both sides of the spectacle, allow it to dry for few seconds, then, clean the spectacle surface with recommended dust free cloth

@To make your spectacles look new and clean follow the procedure twice in a week.
