I am observing sollah somvar vrat since last 3 months, this month seems to be my last month for sollah somvar vrat. In my family my sister in law has given birth to a baby girl and according to our family rituals we should not go to temple for 40 days or observe any prayer at home.

my question is, i am still observing fast but can these days be counted in vrat date or this 40 days has not to be counted (as we not count the days when we have periods).

    Dear Jhansi devi mam,

As far as i know, after doing punyadhan we can do pooja and go to temple. so what ever you do in this 40 days you cannot consider/count this. Keeping thitu (We call it has untill we do punyadhan) and doing pooja is not considered or taken by god.
