Solid Wood flooring Vs tiles in Mumbai

    Hi
    I am in the process of doing up my house. We are considering solid wood flooring for the house. I stay in Mumbai. I am not sure if wooden flooring is a good option for Mumbai's climate.If any of you are using wooden flooring kindly let me know its pros and cons. Is it too hard to maintain? Am in two minds whether to go for wooden floor or the tried and tested tiles.Looking forwardto your valuable suggestions.

    As far as my experience goes....Wooden flooring provides a good get-up to the home but the points to consider: -

    It gets heated up.
    It makes a lot of noise walking.
    The furniture kept on it leaves a mark.

    But overall it gives a nice look to the house. Hope it is of some help.
