    Your sil's actions are not those of a mentally sound person. You should not take her words seriously because all her talk is absolutely baseless . What you need to understand is that when you have a sibling , if they are not doing well in life it affects your life also.. so please don't get upset and discuss with your dh how she can be helped without you having any further conversations with her.

    I feel sorry for your SIL. Too many people in her life are enabling her atrocious and self-destructive behavior.

    Neither an employer nor a future spouse is likely to put up with her tantrums. She needs help.

    If she wishes to return to your home, please insist on a psychiatric evaluation first. And put everyone on notice that you will call the cops at the first threat of violence from her.

    If your DH discusses her with you, please don't be hostile. Instead ask him to think of her future and what is in her best interests. I hope her family does the right thing by her soon. If not, you'll have to host her for the rest of her life.
