Shopping for treadmill?

I feel this section of the forum is good to post regarding buying a treamill, since most of the people using it are here. Else move to appropriate section.

I'm planning to buy a new treadmill. I didn't had one before.So please share some information to buy one as I'll be buying it soon.

1. What are the option should I look for?
2. Brand, cost and the store?
3. Is any accessories needed for child proof?
4. Anyone bought recently/any sale on treadmills?
