Shock

I was getting ready to meet a good friend for breakfast, meeting her meant that i was meeting someone with whom i can be myself and yet not be afraid of being judged....

Anyways, i was excited and choosing my outfit and matching accessories, not because i want to impress my friend, but i was so overwhelmed to see her after 15 long years..

My mobile rang with the sound of the vibration on it, ' ufff who can it be at this odd hour', am getting late and havent decided my outfit yet, with these thoughts answered the unknown number.

Is this Nandini, asked a lady's voice on the other line, with an irritating tone i answered, yes and who is this....
The lady took a deep breath and told, Geet met with a road accident and is no more, all the formalities are at her place, all the formalities are at her place... the lady disconnects the call...

I was so shocked and speechless that I couldn't ask or tell anything....

Yes, i was getting ready to meet geet, but not this way....
Rushed to the place to bid a final adieu for my friend....
Life has the most uncertain and unplanned things for us....
Tomorrow is uncertain, stay in touch with your loved ones, before they are gone forever....
