Thanks a million CV!! Dear Chithraji: Thanks a lot for the two slokas. I have a question about the second sloka - which are the days that one can ward off the evils (suthipodarathu) any specific day/s? I really appreciate your Time, Effort and Patience!! Thanks & regards Seetha
thanks for these........ Dear Chitra, thanx for posting the 2 shlokas. now, for warding off evil, I normally use just salt and put it in a bowl of water and next day throw it outside or pour it in the sink. Is this wrong??? and if its okay, can I chant the same shloka or do we have something more to it?? pls advise.
Hello Seetha ! The most ideal day is Sunday & the other 2 days are Tuesday & Thursday. The best time is " sandhya kalam - when we light the lamp ". Love & regards, Chithra.
Hello Meena ! Salt can be used according to pranic healing. But certain precautions have to be taken, because that water gets immediately charged with negative energy. So you must immediately pour it into W C , flush & pour a lot of water as well. Never keep this water or pour it for plants. Thereby you will be transferring the negative energy to them. Wash your hands very thoroughly & make sure that not a drop spills anywhere. Also, thereafter do not use the bowl for any other purpose. I keep bowls, separately for this salt water. Also for those living in India, when we mop the floor, add some rock salt to the water used for mopping. Any residual energy prevailing in the house is removed. If you believe in this, make it a matter of daily routine. Love & regards, Chithra.
Hello Chitra, was just reading this about the salt and pranic healing....now don't tell me that you too are a pranic healer or that you have learnt this. Unbelievable....that is why your mom seems to be so proud of you!:clap I have been waiting to see if anyone is inclined towards this or Reiki.... The interest is because i have learnt this about 10 years ago and i have been practising at least on those who believe in this and i can say that it has worked wonderfully. and i belive in this.... Do you have some thoughts to share on this...can we do it here or privately.....would love to continue the discussion....and share experiences and thoughts!
Sudha Again! Dear Chitra, I liked the explanation for Naivedyam...though we do follow all this as custom ...cos my mom told me or granmom told , i never gave it a thought. To this day i keep kumkum for any new article or saree, keep it in front of god and then use it. But this profound thought of the OWNER AND TENANT, ,call it a spiritual or philosophical one, i was not aware of it in that sense....maybe i knew it all,; But staying out here i need to explain a lot of our customs to every Tom, Dick and Harry and sometimes i amat a loss.... Do you have explanation for the Kumkum we place as bindi on our forehead...other than the Chakra concept and asa protection etc( this is a common quetion, even on the train people ask us!) also this drishti ...thing if we can throw hat in front of house, can we throw it in the wash basin....is that okay? I guess it is not good to throw it in the garden? Thanks in advance for being so patient with all of us and sharing so much info and time.....all of us very grateful.
Yes Sudha, you are right ! Dear Sudha, I am both a reiki channel & pranic healer ! I think, we can discuss about this in private mail. Salt water is thrown into the WC & flushed since we should not come into contact with it. But our dhrishti water is poured on the road, because the more people walk over it, more negative effect is eliminated. Sudha, I do not know the reason - I just follow what my MIL taught me ! The following, I learnt from my classes: The tilak covers the ajna chakra, the seat of memory & thinking. we should never forget that we should always be pious & also righteous in our deeds & the tilak should remind us of this prayerful attitude. Also, the body emanates energy as electromagnetic waves specially in our forehead & ajna chakra. ( that is why, if we worry, we get a head ache! ). The tilak protects us & prevents the energy loss ! The same holds good for bhasma or vibhuti or chandan put by men. Now we wear synthetic bindhi, defeating the very purpose, is besides the point ! Love & regards, Chithra.
