Re: Bhagwat Gita! Dear Anita, It is 7 & not 4 shlokas. I have already posted it. Please go to http://www.indusladies.com/forums/18891-post197.html Love, Chithra.
Re: Bhagwat Gita! Dear Chitra, I was going thru' this website Bhagavad-Gita. where in I was checking how to pronounce the words. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the same verse as u mentioned ( Ch 11 - 36 ), ( Ch 13 - 13 ) & ( Ch 18 - 7 ). I am confused :idontgetit: . Regards, Anita
Re: Bhagwat Gita! Dear Anita, The last verse was mentioned by a wrong no: by me. I have corrected it now. I checked up with my book & find the others right. I checked up with my Ramakrishna Mutt book & Gorakpur edition. Love, Chithra.
Re: Bhagwat Gita! Hi Chitra!!! I was able to find two of them. And the thrid one took me ages, until I figured it was good to check in the index. Unfortunately that was wrongly numbered as well. I checked it in my "Gita" as well. It is 13:14 & not 13:13. Thanks again... Anita
Re: Bhagwat Gita! Dear Anita, It is strange that books differ ! 13.14 in my both books is " Sarvaendriya guNaabhaasam.... ". You cant chant as per your discretion. I prefer to go by the shloka & the meaning, rather by the No;s. I noted down the shlokas first & then went & searched for the no:s. Love, Chithra.
Re: Bhagwat Gita! Dear Chitra, Thanks!!! Rightly said... As long as the sholka are right, the numbers dont matter. Thanks once again. Anita
Re: Sanskrit shlokas I happened to see this only to-day. Don't consider this as something related to the "Poll" you conducted. This is only a personal opinion. Majority opinion should prevail. No doubt about that. Only sanskrit and its related languages has "Akshara Shuddhi''. English and Tamil has its own limitations. Don't you agree with me. Subsequently it:idontgetit: leads to wrong pronounciation which is more detrimental than not chanting the mantra. You mean to say this is a problem faced by our NRI children living else where. kanaka
Re: Anger Management!!! hi the best way to control ur anger is, chant gayatri mantra which is: om bhurbhuvah swah, tatsavitur vareniyam bhargo devasya dheemahi dhiyo yo naha prachodhyaat chant this whenever u are angry... or whenever you cant find answers to your questions, or when you want a solution... and u'll see u suddenly have a wider prespective of seeing the same thing... and that is when you find a way... take care ~Abha
