Wow..I came to this thread after about 2.5 yrs of my decision to separate and file for divorce my husband. Thanks for an inspirational post dear Kalyani! I can really say I am much better in life now without that abusive guy who was corroding my confidence and providing a hostile environment for our child to be raised in. I am so happy for my decision to walk out and much at peace now. I do have my down days....but its not as bad as how it was while I was married to him.

omg this is so horrible.I think we women have this huge pressure to make marriage work so we put up with this kind of abuse too long.
