Here's a simple Prawns sukka.Hope you will like it. Prawns Sukka In a bowl take some cleaned prawns.Add finely chopped onions,turmeric,red chilli powder and potato chopped into small cubes(optional).Add little water.Mix well and put it on the gas to cook.Cover it with a plate adding some water to it and allow to cook.Once cooked and add kokum or tamarind juice and salt and grated coconut and cook for some time.Serve it with anything you want-ghavan(soft dosas) or neer dosas or amboli or dal-rice or chapatis.
And here's one Bombil (Bombay duck) Bhujne- In a pan add some oil.Add finely chopped onions and salt and cook for some time.Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for some time.Add some slit green chillies and turmeric and cook for some time.Add kokum or tamarind juice and stir well.Then add bombil (bombay duck) and cook for some time Add salt and stir carefully to avoid breaking the fish.Add coriander.
Patrani Anda (Steamed egg in banana leaf) 1. Beat 6 eggs alongwith ginger garlic paste, salt, chopped greenchilles and finely chopped onions). 2. Boil 3 potatoes and mash them finely. Add the egg mixture to these mashed potatoes and place it on the banana leaf. 3. Fold and tie the leaf with thread and steam it in a double boiler or steamer. should be done in 10 minutes. 4. Cut and serve with fresh cream, if desired,
Teenagers salad: 1. Cut 6 hard boiled eggs, each into halves. Put this in a large salad bowl. 2. Add bread squares (bread should be brushed with olive oil and cut into small squares and microwaved till crisp), salt, pepper, olive oil, halved black olives, halved cherry tomatoes and grated mozarella or normal cheese. 3. Refrigerate for sometime, serve cold.
Bhapa Mach (steamed fish) 1. Take any fish, cleaned and descaled, or prawns. (1/2 kg) 2. Make a paste of Mustard seeds (2 spoons), poppy seeds (khus khus 2 tsp), fresh grated coconut(3tsp) and 3-4 green chillies. 3. Put the fish and above paste in a bowl, top with mustard oil, salt, turmeric powder and slit green chillies. 4. Cover with lid and steam in a steamer. Serve with fluffy white steamed rice.

Sura Puttu Ingredients: Sura – 1/4kg Onion – 3 medium Green chilies – 4 Coconut scrapped – ½ cup Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp Curry leaves – few twigs Fennel seeds powder – 1tsp Turmeric powder -1.2 tsp Freshly ground pepper powder – according to taste Salt – according to taste Oil Preparation method: Clean the sura, cut into chunks and boil with turmeric and salt. Once cooked, drain water and shred the fish pieces. Add pepper powder and coconut to the shredded fish, mix and keep aside. In a pan, heat oil. Throw in some fennel seeds powder followed by onion, green chilies and curry leaves. When the onion turns translucent, add ginger garlic paste. Fry till the raw smell of ginger garlic paste goes. Add the shredded fish with the onion. Mix well and check for salt. Keep closed in low heat for 3-4 mins. Sura puttu is ready!
