'Share and share alike' - the meaning and origin of this phrase

What's the origin of the phrase 'Share and share alike'?
The expression was first known as 'share and share like', as in this example from Richard Edwards's comedy Damon and Pithias, 1566:
"Let vs into the Courte to parte the spoyle, share and share like."

Daniel Defoe, appears to be the first to have used the 'share and share alike' version. That was is Robinson Crusoe, or as he called it The life and strange adventures of Robinson Crusoe, 1719:
"He declar'd he had reserv'd nothing from the Men, and went Share and Share alike with them in every Bit they eat."​

Italians eat noodles, and have cowboys in Spagetti Western movies, we have Maggi & Murugan.
But the song says nothing about Maggi; the chorus line is about idli, aappam and sambar !!

The second worst thing one can make in an airfryer is bacon. Top spot goes to fish. It is really really hard to get rid of the smell and cross contamination to other stuff one would put in the airfryer. Recently I learned that if you have a kitchen balcony, that is the place to put your airfryer that can cook fish, bacon, and whatever else you want.

A friend has an airfryer that is always set out in her kitchen balcony. It has a plastic cover (for rain and snow) also. She cooks both fish and bacon in that. As well as steaks and tandoori-chicken. It is never used inside the kitchen. A clever idea.
