Hi friends , Have a look at my first attempt with shadow embroidery on a salwar top.Do give your feedback. Sangeetha
Hi Ambika, Thank you for your compliments.Shadow embroidery is the type in which you do close herringbone stitch on the reverse side of a semi transparent material such that it creates a shadow effect on the actual side. The flowers and the leaves are done in that way.The rest of the embroidery is done on the actual side.Hope that helps Sangeetha
Hi Sangeetha, The works you do are so neat. It looks so neat. The design is so neat and symmetrical. I wish to know if you follow specific methods to make the cloth neat after emb. For me there is always some powder prints or carbon print. Also the design goes to one side or up. Especially if there are 10 motifs allover the dress, atleast 3-4 will be slightly in diff size or shape. It will not be seen evidently, but I can catch them easily. I understand, with patience things can be made to perfection, but do let me know if you follow some steps to produce a neat work. Thanks, Sangheetha.
HI, Very beautiful and neat work. When we do with sinthetic material what are the tips you can give me. because the weaving sometimes go apart. can we try the same shadow work in argandi material. sabitha
