    :) Very useful thread! I ALWAYS had this doubt and used to avoid zips for the same reason. Now I can try garments with zips. :)

    But one prob, Vani Mam , I didn't keep seam allowance at the back for the dress I'm doing currently- just cut it up- can i fix the zip by stitching another strip of cloth onto this ? like we do in hook or button stands?
