Interesting read BB! Loved the narration, esp. the part where the voices spoke! Their compulsive persuasion was well captured. I was reminded of "Tell me your dreams".

The fingers are safe @blackbeauty84 .
I had reserved the nails for @Rajeni 's story ... the suspense parts. But your story stole them:)
Hope they grow back in time for her story, or she has to post the non-suspense-romance-only parts till they grow :)

Lol! I was wondering the same @kkrish that whether I should stick to less-suspense this week and let your nails grow back ;)

wow, BB amazing. I would have never guessed the ending go this way! I felt like I was sitting in the backseat of the car watching the conversation and could feel the tension throughout. Such a beautiful narration.

    *Spoiler Alert*
One question, so was it her who did all the murders or just this one alone due to misunderstanding?

    BB, well done.

My first thought was 'wow getting down straight to business' when I read the first line. "Couple identified as Prakash(30) and Anita(29) were found with their throats slit in their car on King’s road late last night." No preamble, no developing the setting, wham.. straight to the kill. : ) Nice.

Either I am slow or was reading with another ending in mind, the twist was a surprise to me. I thought she would be the one to finally kill the killer. So, it was paisa vasool and time vasool to read it.

In under 1000 words (999 to be exact : ) ) you have captured so much detail and generated so much response in the reader. Nice. Neat.

It reminded me of one of my favorite short stories by Jeffrey Archer, Never Stop on the Motorway. I re-read it after reading your story. Not to compare the maestro with you......... : ) but I found myself getting impatient with the many extra details in that story. I will put it down to my always getting shorter attention span.

    Good one from you.
