I was waiting for your F B, Surya ! It is the secular nature of our religion that, it does not interfere in one's rights to choose any deity & worship. The choice is left to the individual because all paths lead to the same goal. Please continue with me, Surya. Love & regards, Chithra.
Re: I was waiting for your F B, Surya ! Dear Chitra Ma'am! Loved it! Like others I too have been questioned about our "various" Gods. I have expalined that Hinduism (which again is not really an "ism" but Sanatan Dharma" - a way of life) is Monotheistic and I have given the exact example of each one of us taking on differnt roles in life; God manisfests in differnt forms! What you explained was explained to a few of us by a priest who conducted a Satyanarayan Puja in a friends house. He spoke about the different "yugas" and in this yuga humans will imagine God as their own - in human form. He told more on this line which you have captured in writing! Confirmed what I heard a few years ago! Thanks for putting it in writing for future reference here!
Der Kamala, Thanks for 'assiduously' going through all my threads. Hinduism, the so called Sanathana dharma is "anaadi" -no beginning or end. It was the only dharma. The other religions later entered the picture when this was given a name!! You have understood it right!:thumbsup Love, C
Mam, An excellent One ! always Pondered on this ! Uv wrote it to the point the way i like this explained to me ! i really like to thank my friend prdpa who gave me this link ! so blessful we are ... But mam why is it still broken down like bramana, sudra etc ...when all are praying the same god in differnt ways & forms ! is it any ways related or am i asking some irrevelent question ! Thanks mam & happy new year . Regards, Meena:bonk
Dear Meena, Thanks for coming here. Let me assure you, that Hindu dharma is not responsible for the caste system! Varnashrama is based on profession. I would not like to elaborate on a sensitive topic for obvious reasons!! Love, c
